Warisan Welcomes 1,500 New Members from Multiple Parties

KOTA KINABALU : Parti Warisan welcomed 1,500 new members from various political backgrounds at an event held yesterday.

Among those joining was Datuk Seri Winston Liaw, a figure known in Sabah’s tourism industry.

He submitted his membership form to Warisan President Datuk Seri Panglima Shafie Apdal during the event.

The new members over 500 from Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) with more than 400 from Kota Kinabalu and 100 from Sepanggar.

About 420 members were from Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) with 120 from Kota Kinabalu and 300 from Sepanggar.

From Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) there were 40 members from Kota Kinabalu and from UMNO, there were over 160 also from Kota Kinabalu.

In addition, 171 of the new members were from Sepanggar, 200 from Kota Kinabalu and 79 from Penampang.

Warisan leaders described the intake as a reflection of growing support across different constituencies ahead of the coming state election.
