KOTA KINABALU : – Parti Warisan has received a major boost among the Kadazandusun Murut (KDM) community with the entry of Kota Kinabalu District Chief OKK Edna Majimbun into the party’s ranks.

Edna, 47, is the daughter of former Sepanggar MP Datuk Eric Majimbun.
Her decision to join Warisan marks her first foray into politics after years of serving the community in a traditional leadership role.
Warisan president Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal spoke at a press conference here today saying Edna’s membership reflects the growing confidence of grassroots KDM leaders in Warisan’s struggle to unite Sabahans across political and ethnic lines.
“This is about strengthening our leadership among the youth and women. We welcome leaders who want to build unity,” he said.
Edna said she chose Warisan because she believes it is the only party capable of bridging Sabah’s divides.
“For me, it is time for Sabahans to come together. Warisan is the only party that can truly unite us,” she said.
When asked about her father’s views, Edna made it clear that she stands on her own feet and her decision to enter politics is guided solely by her vision for unity in Sabah.
Eric Majimbun was once a deputy president of the Sabah Progressive Party (SAPP) and represented Sepanggar in Parliament from 2004 to 2013.
Edna’s move signals a generational shift with a younger wave of KDM leaders stepping forward under Warisan’s banner.
