Pushing for STEM development in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU (Tuesday Aug 29): An entourage from the Federal Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (Mosti) led by Minister Chang Lih Kang paid a courtesy call to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor at Menara Kinabalu here Tuesday.

Also in the entourage were Deputy Minister Datuk Arthur Kurup, Mosti Secretary General Datuk Dr Aminuddin Hassim and director of agencies under the ministry. 

Among the issues discussed were pushing the development of science, engineering, technology and mathematics (STEM) in Sabah.

Meanwhile, Sweden wants to strengthen ties with Sabah, particularly in tourism. 

Sweden Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr Joachim Bergstorm, said this during a courtesy call to Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor at Menara Kinabalu here today.

Dr Bergstorm said Sabah’s famous Mount Kinabalu and diverse culture are captivating, which he hoped could be further exposed to the Swedish people.
