Hajiji, living “in a comfort zone,” fails to understand the hardships faced by ordinary people in Sabah

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah UMNO election director Jeffrey Nor said the Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, “who enjoys a comfortable life” had failed to comprehend the hardships of ordinary citizens of Sabah.

Evading responsibility, he said Hajiji simply chose the easy way accusing Sabah UMNO chief Datuk Bung Moktar Radin of living in an imaginary world (as if not knowing anything) for highlighting the issues faced by the people

In rebuttal, Jeffrey said this accusation against Bung reflects Hajiji’s attempt to hoodwink the people who he believes are gullible enough to believe empty rhetoric.

“It appears Hajiji in a denial mode, hoping that the people will continue to support the GRS government despite its numerous shortcomings,” he said in a statement here.

Jeffrey, who is the Putatan UMNO chief said It is crucial to remind the Chief Minister of his duty and commitment to address the issues faced by the people in the state, rather than shifting blame to the opposition and evading responsibility or tarnishing the reputation of the current GRS government.

Hajiji’s attempt to justify the concealment of facts by blaming Datuk Bung Moktar is absurd and lacks credibility.

“There is widespread dissatisfaction among the public regarding the state government’s failure to resolve infrastructure problems such as inadequate roads, frequent power cuts and water supply, not to mention economic difficulty,” he added.

In this regard, Jeffrey expressed full support for Bung’s assertion that the government’s efforts have been insufficient and have merely resulted in empty promises.
