SANDAKAN : – Politeknik Sandakan Sabah (PSS) proudly held its 11th Convocation Ceremony at the Sandakan Sports Complex on Saturday.
This historic event was officiated by Dr. Zamzam bin Mohd Walid, Director of the Curriculum Division, Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education.
A total of 248 graduates from the Department of Agrotechnology and Bio-Industry were celebrated at this ceremony, consisting of 186 Diploma in Agrotechnology graduates and 62 Diploma in Aquaculture graduates for two sessions, namely session 2 2022/2023 and session 1 2023/2024.
This Convocation Ceremony not only celebrates the success of the graduates but also serves as a testament to PSS’s commitment to producing quality and competitive TVET graduates.
According to the Director of the Curriculum Division, Dr. Zamzam Bin Mohd Walid, to produce graduates who are relevant to the needs of the industry and the country, the Department of Polytechnic and Community College Education prioritizes academia-industry collaboration initiatives synergistically between both parties.
This is evident when the success of Polytechnic and Community College graduates achieved the highest employability rate in 2023, exceeding 97%.
Also present to enliven this ceremony were the Directors of POLYCC Sabah Zone and industry partners of Politeknik Sandakan Sabah who have contributed greatly to the success of the graduates.
The 11th PSS Convocation Ceremony was an inspiring and meaningful event for everyone involved.
