100 women benefits from a Cancer Awareness Programme in Kelawat

TAMPARULI : – About 100 women folks of Kelawat near Tamparuli benefited from a Cancer Awareness Program on Sunday.

It was organized by the Sabah Cancer Volunteers Association (PSKS) in conjunction with the Sabah Women Affairs Department.

Also involved were the National Cancer Society Malaysia (NCSM), Ministry of Health, and the National Population & Family Development Board.

Among the activities were Talk on Cancer, Health Screening, Ibreast Scan, PEKA B40 and Mamogram Subsidy Registration. Cervical Cancer Screening and HPV Prevention Vaccine were given by a team from NCSM led  by Dato’ Maria Bernard Sinsoi.

Present were Sunarti Samijan from JHEWS, Sr Jalia Salba from LPPKN, PSKS President Julianah Kurutung, Secretary Lucia Goni and Women Bureau chief Nur Nyzlyn Carolyn Salag.
