TENOM : – The people of Kemabong should reject leaders who have been in power for too long, stated the Kemabong Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) chief, Gundohing Voo Ngok Sang.

In making the call, Voo, also known as Roger, mentioned that their continued presence in power is no longer aligned with the current political demands.

“It is time to change the political representation of the Kemabong DUN, and leaders struggling with a crisis of confidence should be sidelined,” he said.

Voo made these remarks at a meeting and briefing session for PDM leaders, branch heads, and election machinery committee members for the Kemabong state constituency at Tenom Valley, Chinta Mata Bukit Kemabong, on Wednesday.

At the event, KDM Secretary General Gundohing Willie Jude also presented the appointment letter for the KDM Kemabong Coordinator to Voo.

Voo believes that many local talents from Kemabong, regardless of race and religion, are capable of bringing about change and renewal in the area.

“The people of Kemabong want leadership that can address basic infrastructure issues such as water, electricity, and agricultural roads,” he stated.

According to Voo, the majority of the people in Kemabong desire leaders who are competent and transparent in governing the DUN and ensuring the welfare of the residents is always protected and upheld.

“We hope they will make wise choices in the upcoming PRN for the betterment and brighter future of the Kemabong DUN,” he added.

He also emphasised that the term ‘KDM’ refers to the Democratic Welfare Party for all ethnic groups and is not limited to the Kadazan Dusun Murut community.

Voo also reiterated his readiness to contest under the KDM banner if given the opportunity.

He urged KDM members and the election machinery in the Kemabong DUN to unite and prepare for the upcoming PRN.

Kemabong sstate constituency is currently represented by Datuk Rubin Balang.
