KDM denies 100 members from Kemabong joined Warisan

Willie Jude…Harris Bolos is no longer KDM member, he left to join Gagasan Rakyat.

KOTA KINABALU: The Democratic People’s Welfare Party (KDM) has denied that 100 of its members from Kemabong joined Warisan during a party event in Keningau on Saturday.

Its Secretary-General, Willie Jude Junaidi, stated that Haris Bolos, who allegedly represented the group joining Warisan, is no longer a KDM member, as he had previously ‘jumped’ to the Sabah People’s Gagasan Party (Gagasan Rakyat).

He said that KDM has never received a re-entry application from Haris, even though he has been seen at several of the party’s events.

“Haris had previously left KDM to join Gagasan Rakyat; perhaps he is no longer needed there and suddenly appeared at some KDM events, but he has never expressed a desire to return to KDM, let alone submit a membership application.”

“So, what is the basis for claiming that he (Haris) is a KDM member and has joined Warisan?

“According to a video I watched, the program host stated that 100 members (of KDM) joined Warisan and that Haris represented them. How can someone who is not a member represent members… this might just be talk,” he said in a statement today.

Haris had previously been a Warisan candidate in Kemabong during the 14th General Election (GE14) but lost.

He then left Warisan to join KDM, but shortly after, he ‘jumped’ again to Gagasan Rakyat.

Willie also mentioned that he had contacted KDM’s coordinator in Kemabong, Roger Voo, who confirmed that the claim of 100 members joining Warisan is false.

“I also visited Kemabong recently and received hundreds of new membership applications, including those claiming to be from that party (Warisan), but to me, it doesn’t matter where they come from; what matters is their sincerity in joining the KDM struggle,” he said.
