KOTA KINABALU: Former Sabah Chief Minister Dr Salleh Said Keruak has expressed his optimism for the future by hoping that one day Sabah will achieve genuine autonomy.

Salleh, who is the Usukan assemblyman, envisions a future where Sabahans will no longer feel like mere spectators in their own state.

The former Communications and Multimedia Minister highlighted the significant transformations that have taken place in Sabah since gaining independence.

In a video shared on the ‘Sabah Way Forward’ Facebook page, he emphasised the need for continuous efforts to elevate Sabah to a level of pride and distinction.

Discussing the state’s development blueprint, Salleh stressed the importance of establishing top-notch infrastructure in Sabah.

He also emphasised the necessity of creating ample job opportunities and economic prospects within Sabah for its residents.

Salleh advocated for a scenario where individuals do not have to seek employment overseas due to lack of opportunities in the country, but rather choose to do so for personal growth and better prospects.
