KIULU: In response to an invitation from the caretaker of San Damiano Hostel, the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) generously handed over donations to 64 residents of the hostel.

The donation in the form of food, drinks, and basic necessities was delivered by the Vice President, who is also the Tuaran KDM chief, Henry Saimpon.

The donation was received by Sister Jane Sandalun, who had previously requested such assistance.

Also present was the Secretary-General of KDM, Willie Jude.

Henry, a former Sabah football player, hopes that the donation will help alleviate some of the burdens faced by San Damiano, especially its residents.

Sister Jane also expressed concerns about the water issues they are facing, including the murky water that hinders daily operations.

At present, San Damiano relies on a gravity-fed water source.
