RANAU : Members of Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Kundasang Division extended a helping hand to a senior citizen, Anggayun Sabinding, during a charity visit to Kampung Kirokot, here, recently.
Anggayun, a 73-year-old resident who lives alone following the passing of his wife and with his only child residing elsewhere, received support from the program led by Datin Seri Linda Ewit, the wife of PBS Deputy President Datuk Dr Joachim Gunsalam and also the Women’s Advisor for the Kundasang Division.
A group of 30 PBS women members participated in the event, engaging in activities such as cleaning the residence’s yard, repairing the house, and providing essential donations including kitchen supplies, beds, mattresses, and cash for Anggayun’s other needs.
Additionally, a PBS woman volunteered to help Anggayun with a haircut.
The charity initiative was also attended by Yubidi Gompoyo, the Political Secretary to Dr Joachim, as well as Aini Tampik, the Head of the Women’s Division of PBS Kundasang, and several other PBS members.
This act of kindness and generosity exemplifies the community spirit and dedication to social welfare that the Women’s Movement of PBS in Kundasang embodies, showcasing the power of unity and support within the local community.
