KDM president predicts GRS will be defeated in the upcoming PRN17

Peter Anthony…GRS will no longer be in power after the state election.

PAPAR: President of the Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM) Datuk Peter Anthony has predicted that the Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) may taste a defeat in the forthcoming state election (PRN).

He attributes this forecast to GRS’s unconvincing handling of pressing issues, particularly water supply, electricity, and road infrastructure.

“Mark my words, GRS will no longer be in power… GRS has faltered… GRS will face defeat after the PRN.

“While our party, KDM, may be smaller than the larger GRS and its ally PAS, this does not lessen our resolve to advocate for reforms that promise a brighter future for the people of Sabah,” he said Saturday.

Peter was launching the election machinery for the Limbahau state constituency at the Kampung Biau Multipurpose Hall, near here.

He said KDM would also present a formidable candidate to challenge the acting PBS president in Kundasang.

Peter revealed that KDM intends to roll out its state election machinery and manifesto as early as December this year.

Furthermore, he outlined several reform initiatives that the party plans to pursue if it gains power in the state following the PRN.

Peter stated that KDM is determined to build more houses for the poorest people, provide annual assistance of RM500 to individuals aged 60 and above, and increase the number of free scholarships offered to underprivileged village students.

“We will work together with other communities, including Muslim Bumiputera and Chinese, to achieve this reform agenda,” he said.
