KOTA KINABALU : – The allocation of seats between Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) and Sabah Pakatan Harapan (PH) for the upcoming Sabah State Election (PRN) is not complicated.
GRS Secretary General Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said, what is important is to fulfill the wishes of each component in the GRS.
He said that the discussion with PH has not been held so far because Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor had previously stated earlier that it would be discussed when the election or the State Legislative Assembly (DUN) is dissolved.
“For us, there is no need to speed up because so far there has been an understanding and also close cooperation between GRS and PH.
“We are confident that the issue of seat allocation is not something complicated between GRS and PH. But it is more about fulfilling the request and also the wishes of each component in the GRS itself,” he said.
He said this when met after officiating the Kota Kinabalu Bawal Ratu Grand Opening Ceremony at the Karamunsing Complex, here on Saturday.
Asked about the meeting of GRS Supreme Council Members (AMT) on Friday ,Masidi who is also the Deputy President of the Sabah Gagasan Rakyat Party (Gagasan Rakyat) said that several special committees were formed to ensure that the coalition is ready to face the PRN that may be held at any time. time.
“Actually, I have been appointed to form a committee more as a consultation among the leaders of the other component parties to roughly see which seats might be suitable for each party,” he said.
GRS established the Central Election Machinery (State) and the Election Management Committee to face the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN17).
The establishment of the machinery and the committee was among the matters discussed at the GRS AMT Meeting chaired by the Chief Minister, Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor, as GRS Chairman.
