Should Sabah be governed by multiple local political parties or a single political party?

KOTA KINABALU : – It has been an exciting week for political parties in Sabah.

Everyone arduously to make an impact before the Ramadan month begins in Sabah.

The war chant includes phrases like “We are the better choice!” “Give us another chance to excel.”

There is much work to be done, along with many empty promises.

National Parties such as Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR)and Democratic Action Party (DAP) hang in a precarious position in the next Sabah State Election.

Their stance on repealing the provision in Article 6(7) of the State Constitution left many people shocked.

Their silence regarding the alleged corrupt practices is disturbing.

The proposal by JAKIM was not adequately addressed, which will impact racial harmony in Sabah.

One commentator on social media argues that “silence means accepting”.

Where were the urgent voices of concern during the devastating water crisis and continuously deteriorating road conditions in our State?

These tabs keep stacking up and reap for harvest during the election.

It seems that these national parties should have no business cloth themselves with other dirty linen in the State.

Many argue that we should emulate Sarawak due to their effective resource management and regaining their rights under the Malaysia Agreement.

Rightfully so, that was the battle cry in the 2020 elections to create a Borneo Block, against the Federal Government. But it was not to be, the State Government fell and the matter silent.

Sabah and Sarawak are siblings within Malaysia, each showcasing distinct characteristics.

Sabah stands out because it is entitled to 40% of its revenue from the Federation, as specified in the Federal Constitution.

This unique arrangement highlights the special status of Sabah among the states in Malaysia.

Should the State be governed by multiple local political parties or should it unite under the banner of a single political party?

The impossible is to wrestle at least 37 seats in the next State Election.

Would the spirit of 2018 revisit Sabahan in the name of unity and vote for their leaders?

The results of the 2025 Sabah State election are already written in the stars.

As voters, you hold the power to select a group of courageous leaders who are ready to guide the State for a better future.

Our unity and resilience empower us to shape our future and destiny, serving as our greatest strengths.

To our Muslim Brothers and sisters, let Allah guide you and protect you this Ramadan and always.
