SANDAKAN, 10 March 2025 – The highly anticipated Sepilok Jazz 4th Edition
2025 is set to take place on September 5 – 6, 2025 (Friday & Saturday) at
Rainforest Discovery Centre (RDC), bringing together an extraordinary lineup of
international and local jazz musicians.

Headlining this year’s festival is an unmissable performance by two jazz
legends—two-time Grammy-winning saxophonist Ernie Watts and Singapore’s
King of Swing, Jeremy Monteiro.

As part of a special tour celebrating Ernie’s
80th birthday year and continuing Jeremy’s 65th birthday year, the duo will be
joined by:
Rudi Engel (Germany) – Bassist
Shawn Kelley (Bangkok/New York) – Drummer
Special Guest Vocalist – To be announced soon.

With a combined 108 years of professional music experience—Ernie with 59
years and Jeremy with 49—these jazz greats have captivated audiences across
the globe.

Now, they bring their signature blend of original compositions,
swinging standards, and soulful ballads to the heart of Borneo.

For Jeremy Monteiro, this concert holds deep personal significance as he spent
part of his childhood in Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, making this performance a heartfelt
homecoming.
