SEMPORNA : Sabah UMNO Treasurer Datuk Seri Dr Salleh Said Keruak has urged his former colleagues and friends to rejoin Barisan Nasional and collaborate in creating a brighter future together.
He expressed that it was time to put aside differences and collaborate for the benefit of the community.
“We call on our friends and former allies to return and support Barisan Nasional, leaving the past behind us.
“While we may have erred in the past, those mistakes have taught us valuable lessons to avoid repeating them,” he stated.
Salleh, who also serves as the Usukan assemblyman, made these remarks during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Open House organised by the Semporna UMNO Division at Dewan Fook Siew today.
The former chief minister of Sabah expressed that Barisan Nasional (BN) is sufficiently large to embrace all individuals who align with their vision, extending a warm welcome to them.
“Politics revolves around service and perseverance; it is not driven by personal gain.
“History illustrates that every political party faces fluctuations. A party that has previously lost an election can regain leadership with a robust mandate through collaboration and unity with its allies,” he stated.
Salleh expressed his hope that “in partnership with Pakatan Harapan, we are dedicated to creating a brighter future for both Sabah and Malaysia”.
“Unity is our greatest asset. Let set aside our differences and concentrate on providing effective governance, development, and stability for the people,” he remarked.
Also in attendance were Abdul Manan Indanan, the head of the Semporna UMNO Division, along with representatives from the component parties of Pakatan Harapan Semporna and BN.
