Chairman RM800, Secretary RM400
KOTA KINABALU : – Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang has welcomed the state government’s move to increase the monthly allowances for Village Development and Security Committee (JKKK) leaders, effective January 2025.
In response to her question during the State Legislative Assembly sitting, the Ministry of Rural Development confirmed that the Cabinet approved the increase on 26 February 2025.
The allowance for JKKK Chairpersons rises from RM500 to RM800, while Secretaries’ allowance increases from RM300 to RM400.
Jannie thanked the Ministry for recognising the growing responsibilities of JKKK leaders.
She also noted the Ministry’s efforts to improve other related allowances and its application under the Additional Supply Budget 2025 for further support.
She praised the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening grassroots leadership and ensuring fair compensation for those who play a vital role in community governance
