KOTA KINABALU : – Kapayan Assemblywoman Jannie Lasimbang, expressed her regret over Cyril Liew’s announcement to resign from the Democratic Action Party (DAP) and to contest as independent in PRN17.
Cyril made the announcement last night during a programme with Verdon Bahanda, Kudat Member of Parliament.
“I regret Cyril’s decision to leave DAP. As my People’s Development Leader (PPM) for N25 Kapayan, I have trusted him to assist me in various tasks to ensure projects and complaints of the people of Kapayan are handled well. I never expected him to turn against me.”
Jannie said, DAP Sabah has confirmed receiving the resignation from Cyril Liew. Cyril does not hold any position within DAP.
She further clarified: “The good work that Cyril claimed credit for is part of his responsibility as PPM and the team that I have built. I deny any allegation of neglect towards my staff’s welfare. Apain Soriun, who is spreading lies and hatred in his Facebook page was terminated due to poor work performance and for consistently refusing to attend office duties and meetings.”
