Amira Aisya’s accusations against Sabah Governor irresponsible

Johnny Mositun…are not only factually incorrect but reveal a disturbing level of political immaturity.

KOTA KINABALU : – Parti Bersatu Sabah Vice President Datuk Johnny Mositun expressed disappointment on Parti MUDA lawmaker Amira Aisya Abdul Aziz remarks on Sabah Yang di-Pertua Negeri Tun Musa Aman.

He said it was deeply disappointing and utterly reprehensible Muda’s  elected representative has chosen to engage in reckless slander and unfounded accusations against the Governor of Sabah.

“Her recent remarks during a protest, suggesting corruption where none exists, are not only factually incorrect but reveal a disturbing level of political immaturity and irresponsibility,” Mositun said in a statement today

“Let us be clear: Tun Musa Aman was fully acquitted of all charges, ” he said.

He also pointed out that the Attorney General’s Chambers (AGC) withdrew the case after thorough legal review, and even the Hong Kong Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) cleared him of all charges.

” In any functioning democracy that respects the rule of law, an acquittal by the courts and exoneration by international anti-corruption agencies should mark the end of such malicious insinuations,” he added

According to Mositun, Amira Aisya’s decision to ignore these facts and continue slandering Tun Musa demonstrates either willful ignorance or a desperate attempt to score political points by recycling disproven allegations.

“Moreover, the irony is rich—her own party president, has been found guilty of corruption.”

“Before she lectures others on integrity and good governance, perhaps she should look inward. As the saying goes, people in glass houses should not throw stones,” Mositun said.

He stressed that Amira Aisya would do well to remember that public service demands accountability not just from others, but from oneself.

“Baseless attacks do not elevate political discourse—they degrade it.”

Mositun said if MUDA claims to represent a new kind of politics, it must begin by holding its own members to the standards they so eagerly impose on others.

“Enough with the hypocrisy. Let the facts speak louder than political theatre,” he said.
