KOTA MARUDU: Following multiple delays in the Kota Marudu Sports Complex project under the GRS government, the Acting President of the Kota Marudu District Football Association (SAFA), Jimson Majemal, expressed his disappointment and demanded that the Sabah Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) provide an explanation to the local community regarding the failure to complete the project after being granted an extension.
He stated that the contractor responsible for the project had been given another extension until May 31 to finish it.
“Therefore, this project should have been completed by May 31, 2025, but the opposite has occurred.
“As a sports advocate in this district, I have taken the time to monitor the progress of the Kota Marudu Sports Complex project… the people here, especially sports enthusiasts, have long awaited good news as a symbolic gift for the Kaamatan celebration, but many are disappointed that the project is still not completed,” he said in a statement here today.
Previously, KBS had assured that the construction of the Kota Marudu Sports Complex would be completed as soon as possible
