Whoever is the candidate, Warisan is confident of wresting Inanam from PKR.
KOTA KINABALU : – Inanam Warisan Sectateriat, until recently, was confident that their activist Lewis Wong will be the party’s candidate.
Lewis, a businessman has been working for the party, visiting every villages within the Inanam constituency.
“We had been activated our activities for the last 10 years, ” said Sharon Mathew Chang.

Sharon, who is Inanam former Community Development Officer, is Lewis’ senior assistance.
They are meeting the constituents sometimes representing Sapanggar Warisan divisional chief Datuk Ajis Jimman.
This group had laid a solid foundation for the party to face the upcoming 17th State Election (PRN 17).
“We are prepared for the election, ” Lewis told talantang.com recently.
He said their election’s operation room and grounds network are in full gear.
According to Sharon, Party president Datuk Seri Panglima Shafie Apdal is aware of their activities.
But latest political development indicated that Lewis might not be Warisan’s candidate for Inanam.
It emerged that former Kota Kinabalu Native Court District Chief Edna Majimbun will likely be fielded.
Edna joined Warisan last month, had tendered her resignation as District Chief, when contacted didn’t deny nor confirm her candidacy.
“Of course we are disappointed, ” Sharon said.
But despite of that, Lewis group continues with their activities meeting Inanam voters.
Sharon pointed out that their 10 years non stop works for the party were thrown out of the window.
Their dissatisfaction is justified as Edna who joined Warisan just last month is said to be the choice to contest Inanam.
“We had met the president, we were told to be patience. Candidacy is yet to confirmed. He also assured us of a win win decisions, ” Sharon said.
She hoped something good will come out from Shafie’s assurance.
This PRN17 will be the first time Warisan is fielding candidate.
Inanam is a multi-racial constituency. In the last election the seat was won by Parti Keadilan Rakyat.
The incumbent assemblyman is Datuk Peto Galim, who had confirmed defending his seat in the upcoming polls.
According to the latest composition of Inanam’s voters:
-KDMR (47.03%)
Chinese (28.71%)
Bajau (8.1%)
Other Sabah ethnic (4.9%),
Malay (4.5%)
Others (3.7%)
Bugis (2.97%).
