Former RTM  anchorman Francis Fahir STAR’s candidate for Pantai Dalit

TUARAN : – Despite of the political upheaval in Sabah STAR, the party’s Divisional Chief for Pantai Dalit Francis Fahir believes it made the party stronger.

“The party’s works for the betterment of the people never in the decline, ” he told said today.

He said even though five party’s former YBs had left, party’s president Datuk Seri Panglima Dr Jeffery Kitingan is not a bit perturb.

“Star is never short of capable leaders to replace, to contest against the five who had chosen to leave Dr Jeffery, ” Francis said.

Meanwhile, Tuaran ex Member of Parliament Datuk Kalakau Untol said Francis will be Star’s candidate for the Pantai Dalit constituency.

“He is a local. Star is confident of victory, ” Kalakau a former Federal Deputy Minister added.

Being a retired Senior Assistant Director of Sabah Broadcasting Department, Francis is no stranger to Sabah politics.

Francis a broadcast/telecast icon journalist was well versed with local politics.

During previous state elections,  he was one of the RTM anchor Commemmtetor.

“Francis should had be in politics long time ago. But he chose to work until going into mandatory retirement, ” Kalakau said.

When asked what made him decided to contest.

Francis said, ” My main objective is to realise the agenda  justice for Sabah and also think of idea of  Sabah for Sabahan.”

He concured the statements of the Sarawak Governor  Tun Wan Junaidi Tuanku Jaafat  that the Malaysia Agreement 1963 got to be fulfilled by the Federal Government.

Francis also concured with the idea and the sharing of former PKR leader Daniel Jani of Sarawak who said it’s timely Sabah have new State Government comparising of only Sabah-based parties .

“That the people of Sabah’s aspiration of the people, ” Francis said.
