KOTA KINABALU: Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) Supreme Council Member Datuk William Majinbon today announced his decision to join Parti Warisan (Warisan), marking another wave of senior political and grassroots leaders shifting their support to the multiracial party led by Datuk Seri Panglima Mohd Shafie Apdal.

Joining William were the Inanam PBS Divisional Women Chief, three divisional committee members, three PBS branch chiefs, and five village chiefs from the Inanam area which is a strong signal of grassroots realignment ahead of the coming state election.

Also joining Warisan was Chrisnadia Sinam, the former Tuaran PKR deputy chief, who cited Warisan’s consistent multiracial struggle and integrity-based leadership as the reasons for her move.

Speaking at the event, Shafie welcomed William and his team, describing their entry as a reflection of growing confidence in Warisan’s vision for Sabah.

“When people from different parties and communities come together under one roof, it shows that Sabahans are tired of divisions. They want leadership that unites, not leadership that divides,” Shafie said.

“Warisan is a home for all Sabahans regardless of race, religion or background. Our struggle has always been about restoring dignity, fairness and opportunity for everyone in this state.”

Shafie praised William’s long-standing service and experience in PBS, noting that his leadership at both state and community levels would strengthen Warisan’s grassroots machinery.

“Datuk William is a respected figure with deep roots in Inanam and Tuaran. His decision to join Warisan speaks volumes about where the political momentum is shifting towards unity and sincerity,” Shafie added.

William said his move was driven by conviction rather than convenience.

Chrisnadia Sinam echoed similar sentiments, saying the political landscape had become too fragmented and that Sabah needed a unifying voice.

“Warisan is the only party that truly represents Sabah’s multicultural reality. It’s time we come together to fight for a fairer Sabah,” she said.
