Shone (Independent) and Edna (Warisan)
INANAM : – It is now comfirmed that Majimbun’s siblings will be among the aspirants contesting in the multi racial constituency of N18 Inanam.
Businessman Shone will be contesting on the Black Wave ticket, an Independent entity headed by Kudat independent Member of Parliament Datuk Verdon Bahanda.
His sister Edna had resigned as Kota Kinabalu District Native Court Chief and had since joined Parti Warisan and is the party’s candidate in Inanam.
This will be the first time Warisan is putting up a candidate in the predominantly KadazanDusunMurut constituency.
Shone and Edna are the son and daughter of former Member of Parliament for Sepanggar Datuk Eric Majinbun.
In the last election their uncle Datuk William Majinbun contested Inanam on Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) ticket.
William and eight other candidates lost to PKR’s Datuk Peto Galim.
Last week William quit PBS to join Warisan and will be campaigning for Edna.
Shone in his latest FB posting declared that : –
“I offer myself and my full commitment to serve us, the people of Inanam. My main focus is simple, from the People, for the People!
“Candidate for N18 INANAM under the Independent BlackWave (Gelombang Hitam) banner.”
Shone said he is ommitted to bringing the people’s voice to the government, and the government’s message back to the people.
“To be a bridge, not a wall! To serve, not to be served! Brave, independent go speaks up, Inanam will be even better!” he added.
On Edna, Shone said, ” My sister may also contest in Inanam. I’d be lying if I said it didn’t make me feel sad or conflicted but I respect herdecision.”
“As for me, I will stay true to my path to continue this fight as an independent candidate under The Black Wave Movement, “
” he said.
Shone believed if he backed down now, he would only allow the dirty culture of politics to keep thriving.
“I’m not power hungry. I’m here for change. For the Inanam people. For Sabah, ” he said.
