Corruption – givers and takers should all go to jail

By C C Pung

If I was asked ‘is the MACC corrupt?’ or ‘is our judiciary reliable?’

I’d be quite upset.
The insinuation is hard to disguise.

But hasn’t it been said that ‘corruption is systemic in Malaysia’?

Hasn’t there been too many suspicious DNAA cases involving big-name politicians?

I have not come across any denial either from the MACC or any minister in government.

I get the sense that corruption is everywhere and it can’t be explained away.

With few exceptions, all the cases involved Malay officers.

I believe this is simply because Malays are the majority and held positions of influence in the government and civil service.

Corruption is an act of dishonesty and is abhorred in Islam.

But apparently it is not their fault.

According to an apologist, corruption among Malay officials happened because of inducement by Chinese businessmen.

This sounds new to me.

I hope the bribe-givers and takers all go to jail.

Some figures claimed that corruption cost Malaysia RM250 billion in the last 10 years.

That could have built a lot of roads and schools in Sabah instead of funding Birkin bags purchases and orgies with Kim Kardashian and other harlots.

By the way I hope they find that fatso Jho Low and hang him by his toe.
