PUTATAN: The Justice 4 Sabah: 40% Fun Run, organised by STAR Sabah P173 Putatan, is set to become one of the largest grassroots gatherings in the district.
The run on Sunday (Nov 23) aims to highlight Sabah’s right to the 40 percent net revenue entitlement.
STAR Putatan wants this issue to reach ordinary Sabahans, not only policy circles.
So far, more than 1,200 registrations have been received through the event’s online form, with more expected before the deadline on Saturday, 22 November 2025.
“The turnout shows strong public concern over the state’s financial position and the long delay in delivering what the Constitution already provides,” said STARSABAH candidate for N23 Petagas, Annita Shiela F. Among.
Shiela who is also the STARSABAH Petagas division chief said based on the number of registrations received in only a few days, it is clear that Sabahans understand the issue.
“They know what the Constitution promises. They want these promises honoured without delay. This run gives them a simple way to stand together.”
The event will be held at STAR Sabah Headquarters in Putatan, next to Secret Recipe.
Flag-off is at 4:30 PM on Sunday, 23 November.
Participation is free, and each registered runner will receive a free event jersey.
