SANDAKAN: As Ramadan makes it’s way into April, nine days remain to the holy fast for our Muslim brothers and sisters.
“With much gratitude towards the local community of Sim-Sim for this fruitful collaboration.”
“We have worked together to raise 500 bowls of freshly made beef porridge, paired with 500 pack of dates for distribution to motorists and passers-by as they made their way home to break fast with their families, ” Tanjong Papat assemblyman Datuk Frankie Poon said today
The team had begun preparing for the meals since daybreak and had gathered at the village for final packaging as the afternoon heat subsides beneath the shade of the Che Siang Khor Moral Uplifting Society.
“We extend well wishes to everyone that had a hand in the event, from the good people of Sim-Sim to the wider community of Sandakan that participated in the event organised by Tanjong Papat Assemblyman sevice center,” Poon said.
“By doing so has lead the event into great success. May our community be a testament once more to the vision of racial unity as we look out for each other throughout and beyond our festivities!, ” he added.
