Ligunjang…Sabahans are fully capable of governing their own state and steering it towards progress and prosperity.
KOTA KINABALU: It is time to stop Malayan parties interfering political development in Sabah, says former Petagas former assemblyman Datuk James Ligunjang.
According to him, the continuing the pattern of involving Malayan parties in Sabah’s political processes under the guise of driving development has proven to be a great error.
Instead of fostering economic growth and safequarding Sabah’s rights as outlined in the Federal Constitution and the Malaysia Agreement of 1963, it has profoundly hindered Sabah’s progress.
“The interference of Malayan parties in Sabah’s political landscape has contributed to the state current economic and political stagnation,” he said in his latest social media post.
He pointed out that to achieve a tangible progress in Sabah ‘we must adopt a new approach, one that unequivocally removed the influence of Malayan parties in state politics.’
Ligunjang, who is a Justice of Peace said Sabahans are fully capable of governing their own state and steering it towards progress and prosperity.
He added that it was time for Sabahans to take ownership of our destiny and prove to the nation that the state can thrive without external interference.
“Sabahans have a rich cultural heritage,a strong work ethics and unwavering determination to build a better future”
“Let us rally behind local parties that are genuinely committed to the betterment of Sabah and reject those who seek to divide us and exploit our resources,” Ligunjang said.
