KOTA KINABALU : – The 17th State Election could be held earlier, said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Haji Hajiji Haji Noor.
That is a possibility if he decides to hold it before the current State Legislative Assembly’s term expires, he said when officiating the Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Pitas annual general meeting here today.
“The next state election will be, at the latest, in October next year, so I will decide when we will hold the election.
“If I think (it should be held) earlier, then it will be earlier. Therefore, we need to be prepared from now,” he said.
Hajiji also urged Gagasan Rakyat members to prepare for state elections.
