On TV today was image of a Palestinian infant in Gaza , blackened by shoot, trembling, as medics tried to help.
It’s the trembling helplessness that broke me.
An innocent baby too young to understand anything or react to what must be excruciating pain, could only allow physiology to react.
Did it tremble because of cold, fear, pain or a combination of all.
Why is this happening to him?
Why can’t the war mongers see, or feel?
Whatever side you’re on in this Gaza conflict in which everyone loses, the image of this trembling baby reminds me of the stupidity, war gongoring diplomatic hypocrites who rationalised that ‘war is the path to peace’ and that the only way to resolving conflict is conflict.
Thousands of children in Gaza (and probably in Israel) at the altar of morons, including those in Iran and the US and the many who jet around in luxuries exchanging inconsequential concepts and superlative diplomacy.
I only saw one trembling baby.
Boy Dylan asked in ‘Blowing In The Wing’ ” how many deaths will it take to denote how many people have died?”.
Indeed, how many more trembling helpless babies we need to see before we humans admit our inhuman depravity?
I’m disgusted. If you wore a T-shirt swearing the annihilation of others.
The trembling baby’s blood in on your hands.
If you wore a bandana, hung a scarf and vowed destruction of others, may god have mercy on you.
You’re a war mongers, albeit a passive one.
Peace.
