KOTA KINABALU: The Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is expected to officiate in the 2024 Sayangi Sabah Madani Rakyat Programme (PMR 2024) here on Oct 19.
Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali said the Sabah event would be a continuation of visits that began under the Madani government’s One-Year Programme launched in Bukit Jalil National Stadium, Kuala Lumpur, on Dec 8 last year.
“Given the strong public response, this programme will continue throughout 2024 at the state-level according to zone.”
“It has already begun in the central zone in Selangor, northern zone (Perlis), eastern zone (Pahang), southern zone (Johor) and Sarawak zone.”
“The Sabah zone will complete the 2024 cycle,” he said in a press conference after reviewing preparations at the Sabah Sports Complex in Likas near Saturday.
When asked about the free bus service to the event, Armizan said the state government would be making transport arrangements.
He was confident that announcements would be made in due course to assist the public in attending the event.
“We invite everyone in Sabah to attend and support PMR 2024 in Sabah,” he said, adding that around 400,000 visitors were expected over the three-day event.
