KOTA KINABALU : – Parti Bersatu Sabah (PBS) will hold its annual congress over two days on October 28-29, said its information chief Datuk Joniston Bangkuai said Saturday.
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor, who is also the chairman of Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS), will officiate the congress on October 29 at the Hongkod Koisaan Hall in Penampang.
The congress will commence on October 28 with the Annual General Meetings of the PBS Youth and Wanita movements, which acting president Datuk Seri Dr Joachim Gunsalam will officiate.
Joniston said the Congress would see the tabling of several resolutions touching on current issues and developments affecting the state.
Discussions are also expected to cover PBS’s role as a key member of GRS and its political alliance with Parti Solidariti Tanah Airku (STAR).
More than 1,000 delegates and observers are expected to attend the main congress and the Youth and Wanita movement AGMs.
