KOTA KINABALU : – Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Hajiji Noor said he will submit the name(s) of individuals who have the potential to be the next Head of State to the Yang Pertuan Agong.
“I will submit the name(s) soon but the decision to appoint a new Head of State will be made by the Agong,” said Hajiji.
He was replying to the question on whether the State Government has identified a candidate as the Head of State as the tenure of current Head of State Tun Juhar Mahiruddin is expiring at the end of the year.
Tun Juhar has served as the 10th Yang di-Pertua Negeri of Sabah since January 2011.
Hajiji said this when met after officiating the KOPEKS annual general meeting here on Wednesday.
