Peter Anthony…the party already identified over 45 state seats to field it’s candidates.
SIPITANG : – The Parti Kesejahteraan Demokratik Masyarakat (KDM), a local party in Sabah, will be contesting on its own in the upcoming state election (PRN)
Its president Datuk Peter Anthony explained that the party has not engaged in discussions or political collaborations with other parties, whether local or outsiders, in preparation for the election.
“KDM has made a clear decision, and in the upcoming election, we will participate and contest based on our party’s own strength,” he stated.

Peter made these remarks during the launch of KDM’s election machinery for the Sindumin and Lumadan state seats at the Pope John Paul II Parish Hall in Kg. Muhibah, near here, on Saturday.
Also present was KDM deputy president Weltrom Bahanda.
The former State Minister of Works noted that KDM has already identified over 45 state seats it intends to contest.
He said that KDM had previously announced nine manifestos addressing the interests of the people of Sabah across various aspects of life.
Peter reiterated that in the election manifesto, the party is also committed to advocating for and protecting the rights of Sabah as outlined in the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63).
He asserted that Sabah can be effectively governed and developed by local parties, similar to the approach taken by Sarawak.
Consequently, Peter urged the people of Sabah to rise and initiate change for the common good in the upcoming PRN.
