Youngest son of British North Borneo senior forestry officer visits Sabah Forestry Department

SANDAKAN :  – Alec Brown, the youngest son of George Brown, who was the Assistant Conservator of Forests (British North Borneo), visited the Sabah Forestry Department on Wednesday

Alec’s father worked for about 10 years (before and after WWII) under Harry Keith, the Conservator of Forests in the late 1930s.

Alec came with his wife, Sally, and they contributed some old photos from his late father’s collection to the Sabah Forestry Department.

They had a brief courtesy call to the Chief Conservator of Forests, Datuk Frederick Kugan at Forestry Headquarters and visited Forest Research Centre in Sepilok.

Also present was Deputy Chief Conservator of Forests (Research and Development) Dr Arthur Chung
